Field Education Services

The goal of PERA's Field Education Services staff is to be available to your employees in each of your offices, school buildings, facilities, and field locations. Meetings can be tailored to fit the length of time you have available. It's important to ensure that your employees are well-informed about their Colorado PERA benefits from a Colorado PERA representative.

PERA can help you provide information to your employees in the following ways:

• Information tables at in-service days, benefit fairs, the break room, or in the teachers’ lounge.

• New employee orientation presentations.

• “Brown bag” or “lunch and learn” presentations.

• Informational meetings covering defined benefit plan details such as employer/employee contribution rates, benefit options, Highest Average Salary, survivor benefits, disability program, benefit increases, PERAPlus 401(k) Plan, life insurance, purchasing service credit, working after retirement, taxes, Social Security, and the PERACare health benefits program.
